Meet Dr. Hunt

A native Mississippian, Dr. Kyle Hunt finished summa cum laude and received his Bachelor of Science from Mississippi College in 2002. Dr. Hunt finished first in his class and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2006 from the University Of Mississippi School Of Dentistry.

While at the UMC School of Dentistry, he was a dean’s scholar and became a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, the Hembree Honor Society, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. He was the recipient of the 2003 Lyn Frances Johnson Award, the 2004 Alliance of the Mississippi Dental Association Scholarship, the 2005 Hinman Scholar Award, the 2005 William S. Kramer Award of Excellence, the 2006 Ottilie Schillig Memorial Scholarship, the 2006 American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Award, the 2006 American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Award, the 2006 Dean’s Scholastic Achievement Award, the 2006 Mississippi Dental Association Award, the 2006 Academy of Oral Medicine Award, the 2006 American Academy of Periodontology Award and the 2006 Academy of Osseointegration Award.



Dr. Hunt completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. During this time, he received extensive training in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery, serving as chief resident from 2009-2010.


Dr. Hunt joined Central Mississippi Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in July 2010. His practice covers broad scope oral and maxillofacial surgery, including dental implant surgery, traumatic facial injuries, dentoalveolar surgery, orthognathic surgery, soft and hard tissue pathology, and reconstruction. He is on staff at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital and Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. He is committed to providing excellent care to the medical and dental community.


He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a member of the American Dental Association and the Mississippi Dental Association.


Dr. Hunt is a past president of the Mississippi Dental Association for District IV and the past president of the Mississippi Society Of Maxillofacial Oral Surgeons. 


Dr. Hunt is an active member of Brandon Baptist Church. He enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, deer hunting, coaching youth sports, church activities, and outdoor activities.
